In the case of a damaged item, you must initiate a claim within seventy two (72) hours of delivery of the item(s) and provide any additional information requested by Spaceful in a timely manner to facilitate the claims process. The process generally takes about two to six weeks from the time we’ve collected all the information.
In the case of a missing item, Spaceful first undergoes an extensive search of our records to see if we can locate your items, and often will need your cooperation to do so. This process can take much longer, so our Customer Care Team will be available to you to provide estimated timelines and status updates as our investigation progresses.
In the case of property damage (damage to walls, handrails, floors, etc.), you must initiate a claim within two (2) days of the appointment when the damage occurred. If the total of your property damage claim exceeds $300, we will require two (2) repair estimates for consideration.
Regardless of the status of any claim, you are still responsible for paying all fees, even fees associated with an Item that is involved in a claim. You will not initiate a chargeback or make other attempts to recoup fees paid to Spaceful at any time. Your failure to pay any fees or your initiation of a chargeback process will be considered by Spaceful when determining the outcome of your claim.
Once we have made a determination on your claim, we will notify you and if necessary make arrangements to resolve your claim with a separate payment/credit to you. Submitting a claim, even a substantiated claim that results in a payment to you does not make you eligible for refunds of any fees paid, the forgiveness of any unpaid debts, nor credits toward future fees.
Spaceful's liability to the customer's property in case of material damage and/or deprivation of enjoyment arising from an event for which the carrier or its personnel could be held liable directly or indirectly by action, neglect, or omission are limited to two dollars ($2.00) per pound or the value of the property on the day of the loss (depreciated value), it is agreed that the lesser of the two amounts shall be applicable.
Prior Notice of Claim: No action against Spaceful for property damage and/or deprivation of unless prior written notice of the claim has been given to him/her in writing within the time limits set out in this Agreement, seventy-two (72) hours from the delivery of the property.
In the event of a claim, the amount of the proposal must be paid in full upon completion of the work and we will initiate the complaint procedures thereafter.
